Nikah

Everyone was sitting quietly, a hushed reverence filling the air as the Kazi (priest) began the scared reading of the Nikah. The room was adorned with Intricate floral decorations, each bloom symbolizing the beauty of love and commitment. The bride and groom sat across from each other, seprated by a delicate curtain adorned by flowers and red roses which symbolises love, which not only added to the elegance of the ceremony but also represented the beauty and Mystery of their Union. The bride's face was hidden beneath a stunning veil, intricately embroiderd with golden threads, concealing her true identity and the storm of emotions swirling within her heart.

Zaviyar, completely oblivious to the truth of the situation, believed he was marrying Mehr, the chosen by his Family. He sat with confident but without any excitement because he was just marrying her only for his family nothing else, but he unaware that the woman behind the veil was Noor, someone he would never imagined in his wildest dreams. As the priest's voice echoed in the room, he asked to Zaviyar "Kya apko yeh Nikah Qubool hai?" Zaviyar's said "QAbool hai" three times without showing any emotion, each word was affirmation sealing his fate as he signed the Nikah papers. The weight of the moment hung in the air, a blend of joy and tension palpable among the guests.

Then, it was Noor's turn. With a heart pounding in her chest and hands shaking, she echoed the words "Qabool hai," three times, each repetition heavy with the gravity of her own new reality. Signing the Nikah papers felt surreal, as if she were stepping into a dream. In that fleeting moment, her world shifted dramatically, thrusting her into a new life filled with uncertainty, yet also the promise of love and companionship as Zaviyar's wife. The air was thick with emotions.

Just then, one of the relatives called out to Zaviyar, urging him to stand up and lift the veil from Noor's head. With a heavy sigh, he reluctantly rose from his seat, the weight of the moment pressing down on him. Although he had never been interested in marriage, family expectations had forced his hand. As he approached Noor, a storm of emotions brewed within him, fuelled by misunderstanding and the bitterness of being trapped in a situation he never wanted .

With a slow almost reluctant motion, he reached for the veil, the fabric a painful reminder of the life he had not chosen. As he lifted it away, revealing Noor's face, a wave of shock washed over him. The hall seemed to hold its breath, but for Zaviyar, this moment was far from joyous. Noor's heart raced, unaware of the turmoil brewing within him as their eyes met. Instead of a spark of connection, there was only the coldness of his heart, hardened by the circumstances that had led him here.

he had agreed to this marriage for his families sake, but now, seeing Noor, he felt a sense of betrayal- this was not the bride he had expected. the tension in the air thickened, filled with unspoken words and unresolved emotion. Zaviyar's reputation as a cold- hearted, fearless man weighed heavily upon him, and the thought of being bound to someone he had never truly wanted ignited a fire of resentment within him.

as the veil fell, whispers filled the room excitement contrasting sharply with Zaviyar's icy demeanour. he felt like a puppet in a play he never auditioned for, and the burden of tradition pressed down on him like a leaden cloak. The  moment stretched on, pregnant with uncertainty, as he grappled with the reality of his situation.

Noor's POV

When Zaviyar lifted the veil from my head, I felt a jolt of electricity dance between us, an undeniable tension hanging in the air. Our eyes locked, and the shocked that flashed across his face quickly morphed into a storm of anger. It was a moment heavy with emotions; he must have felt utterly betrayed, marrying me despite the resentment that simmered beneath the surface. My heart raced as i stood there, trembling under the intensity of his gaze, the weight of his unspoken feelings pressing down on me like a thick fog.

in an explosive moment, he pushed the table away, the sound echoing through the room like thunder. Dishes clattered and scattered, and i flinched, bracing myself for the inevitable outburst i feared would follow. but instead of yelling, he turned on his heel and stormed out, leaving me in a whirlwind of confusion and fear. Tears streamed down my cheeks, each drop a mixture of sorrow and despair as i grappled with the reality of our situation. His grandmother, sensing the rising tension, stepped forward, her voice calm yet firm. "Leave him be; he'll settle down once he realizes that Mehr run away. we need to proceed with the Rukhasati; it's getting late" she reassured me, her words attempting to steady the chaos swirling around us.

My elder sister rushed to my side, wrapping her arms around me in a comforting embrace as I sobbed uncontrollably, i clung to her tightly, seeking solace in her presence because she was more than an elder sister to me she is my best friend my second mom and my Father she meant all this to me, then I hugged Anabia and we cried after that i turned to my mom, tears flowing freely as the weight of the moment crashed down on me. I didn't even glanced at my dad; the fear and uncertainty were too heavy overwhelming to bear. As i finally settled into the car with his sister Airah and his brother Ayan, making our way to their grand mansion, a mix of dread and flickering hope coursed through me. What awaited me in this chapter? Would Zaviyar ever find it in his heart to forgive me, or was this just the beginning of a tumultuous journey filled with heartache and longing? The question hung in air, heavy and unanswered, as we drove into the unknown.
